ObamaGate is Only the Beginning...

Former President Barack Obama has claimed that his administration persisted without a major scandal, which is markedly different from many past presidents. What he failed to realize was that the American people would soon find out that he led a coup d'etat against a duly elected president: Donald J. Trump.  The clip below from Watters' World on Fox News set off a firestorm of people on social media who spread the hashtag #obamagate. It reached #1 in "Trending" on Twitter with hundreds of thousands of tweets. Jesse Watters carefully explains what seems to have happened at an Oval Office meeting on January 5th, 2017. It is clear that Obama was directly involved in the Russian Collusion Delusion. Obama also targeted General Mike Flynn in this meeting and discussed using the Logan Act against him.  Stay tuned to the Trumplican Party social media, which will be sharing exclusive updates on this developing story. Shut it down, Mr. President!

Image
On Friday, March 29, 2019, President Trump renewed his calls to crack down on illegal immigration.  But this time, he suggested that he may shut down the Southern border to stem the flow of illegal immigrants into our country.  If the crisis at the border continues, the Trumplican Party stands with President Trump in his proposition to close our Southern border. Though a closure of our nation's border is not unprecedented, it is extremely rare.  But with our system becoming overwhelmed and illegal immigrants crossing the border in record numbers, it is absolutely necessary.  Closure of our border would act as a symbolic gesture toward Mexico.  Over the years, Mexico has done little to curb the influx of migrants into our nation.  As long as they continue to tolerate, and perhaps encourage it, they must be warned.  Unfortunately, Mexico does not care very much about the state of our country.  In a rare case, the closure of our border will serv...

Really? No Crisis at the Border?

Image
On February 15, 2019, President Donald Trump declared a national emergency in order to allocate separate funds to build a wall on our Southern border.  This announcement was met with fierce criticism from both sides, with many suggesting that the President is setting a dangerous precedent by declaring a national emergency. Something that struck me in this row between the President and lawmakers over border security was the comments from many Democrats, most notably House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Chuck Schumer.  These politicians frequently state that the President has "manufactured" the crisis on the border.  Comments like these can be found in the Democratic rebuttal to the President's Prime Time Address to the Nation. I think that the argument that the Democrats have chosen to stick with is rather abysmal because it proves that their ideas surrounding the immigration debate are still inchoate.  Here, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that the...

Trump hits back at Pelosi

Image
On January 17, 2019, President Trump denied an aircraft for Nancy Pelosi's planned trip overseas.  This comes after the Speaker of the House called for the President to delay his State of the Union speech amid the government shutdown. Yes, the government is still shut down after 28 days, making this the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. Naturally, I think that the members of Congress, including both Democrats and Republicans, should be meeting with the President daily in the effort to end the shutdown.  Given this, Trump's move to cancel the Speaker's aircraft and essentially cancel her trip out of the country was a reasonable one. Drew Hammill, Spokesman for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, posted the above comment to Twitter in response to Trump's move to curb Pelosi's trip. Hammill references Trump's trip to Iraq around Christmas to visit the troops.  I think that his use of this trip to justify Pelosi's trip is flawed.  The Pres...

Trump's Troop Withdrawal: The Making of a Republic?

On December 19, 2018, President Trump announced on Twitter that he would begin withdrawing US troops from Syria.  This decision, which was reportedly made by the President, drew criticism from both sides. Ron Paul brought a new perspective into this debate on CNN.  Ron Paul, a libertarian and the father of Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, discussed the larger role of America in the world and connected it to President's Trump recent decision to withdraw troops from Syria.  I think that Paul is reasonable when he makes the distinction between an empire and a republic.  Right now, America essentially has an extensive militant empire around the world.  We have been entangled in the conflict in the Middle East for over a decade and have lost thousands of American soldiers. Though Paul favors the idea of America as a republic rather than an empire, he simply begins the conversation around this topic in the interview above.  According to Paul, the ...

The 2020 Democratic Hopefuls

Image
Many high-profile Democrats have announced that they will be running  for the President of the United States while numerous others have announced exploratory committees.   We are still yet to hear from former Vice President Joe Biden, who many have claimed would be a frontrunner for the presidency if he decides to run. Out of those Democrats who declared their candidacy , Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Cory Booker seemed to be best resonating with the base of the Democratic Party. Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts), though having been plagued by the controversy surrounding her race, actually has a significant liberal following and delivers a populist pitch.  Frequently she vows to take on Wall Street and is best known for her knowledge of economics and trade. But I think that her past claims of being Native American and releasing a DNA test that did not exactly prove her claims have sullied her image as the Democratic candidate who can stand strong o...

Ilhan Omar and Anti-Semitism

Image
A few weeks ago, Senator Ilhan Omar made comments about a pro-Israel lobbying firm, AIPAC, that many called anti-semitic.  Not only did she accuse lawmakers of being bought by pro-Israel lobbyists, but she also suggested that Jews are disloyal to the United States at an event in Washington.  Even further, she was forced to apologize for a 2012 tweet where she claimed that Israel "hypnotized the world."  Unfortunately, simply being Muslim cannot and should not excuse her from these comments.      During my research on this topic, I stumbled upon an article by Vox , a left-leaning news outlet.  This article, while criticizing Omar's comments as anti-semitic, actually attempted to prove that Republicans display far worse behavior towards Jews.  Remind me who moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem.  Remind me who supported the implementation of the Taylor Force Act.  Remind me who was presented with the Friends of Zio...

Ocasio-Cortez: The Symbol for Liberal Hypocrisy

Image
We continue to hear the same things from liberal politicians: we must eliminate carbon emissions and fossil fuels in order to save the planet.  With different climate change reports coming out, it does seem that the planet has undergone changes, but no such changes that give our planet 12 more years  in existence.  I usually reference Leonardo DiCaprio when discussing liberal hypocrisy as it relates to climate change.  DiCaprio has advocated for liberal policies that address climate change, yet he continues to use his private jet and energy-sucking mansions.  We now have a new face for this hypocrisy: Freshman Senator Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.        Lately, Ocasio-Cortez has touted her Green New Deal , which strives to " convert the old, gray economy into a new, sustainable economy that is environmentally sound, economically viable and socially responsible."  On the surface, it sounds somewhat promising. ...

Trump's Approval Inches Up!

Image
According to The Hill , Trump's approval rating has made a 3-point jump since January.  The approval rating is now at 46% compared with 43% in January, according to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll.  A wide majority of respondents - about 88% - showed their unwavering support for the President.  Unsurprisingly, blacks, Hispanics, and women overwhelmingly disapproved of the President's job thus far.  More respondents also said that they would vote for the Democratic candidate over President Trump in 2020 by a 7-point margin.        Unfortunately, I am not surprised that minorities still voice their support for Democrats.  I have come to the point where I do not even blame them so much, as Democrats have been running these urban areas for years.  They trap minorities into poverty, essentially forcing them to live off of the government.  They provide them with welfare and food stamps, and these...
